Sydney CSR Practitioners 3-5 pm March 4 2008 The Darlington CentreUniversity of Sydney Whence the Corporate Social Contract?  Meet Senator Ursula Stephens, Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Social Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector, and help start the dialogue. Many submissions to the Parliamentary Joint Committee on CSR in 2006, and the 2007 CAMAC inquiry, pointed to the potential role for government in growing CSR. The ALP’s extension to the JPC Report envisaged an active role for Government in promoting positive social and environmental roles for the corporate sector. The Rudd Government is now well placed to pursue this agenda, and is at the initial dialogue phase. Entry is free, and open to CSR / Sustainability practitioners working to bring about change in their company.  Our host is the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Sydney. The Location is the Darlington Centre  http://www.facilities.usyd.edu.au/services/univenue/darl.shtml#loc) RSVP  davidm@csrsydney.comCOB February 28
